There are five classes from 40 to 120, the numbers being roughly equivalent of the total weight of the vehicle. Today, you can find these cold war remains only in the western parts of Germany, first of all because the NATO was only in control of West Germany until 1990, and since 1990 the unification treaty between Germany the four WW2 allies prohibits using these signs in the eastern, former communist parts.
